Wenzel Coaching is first series sponsor!!!
Kari Studley of Wenzel Coaching (www.wenzelcoaching.com) will be providing up to 2 hours of one to one private consultation (for skills lesson, coaching advice, etc) as a top 5 place prize for both the cat 4 and cat 3 series.
For Cat 3 and Cat 4 and Junior women. There will be a separate series for each category.
You can only compete in your USA Cycling license category. For the non-USA Cycling races, anyone racing in the "B" category is eligible and will counted as cat 4 unless otherwise requested.
For Cat 4 riders: Consistent participation is as important as top finishes. To Compete in this series, riders must complete a minimum of two of the Qualifying Races listed on the schedule. You can take your points with you if you upgrade to Cat 3 during the season.
For Cat 3 riders: Once a rider has earned 30 category upgrade points under USA Cycling rules, she will not be eligible to earn any more points in this race series. She does not lose those she has, but cannot move up in the series once she has reached 30 upgrade points (5 points more than are required for the upgrade to cat 2)
For Junior riders: Must be under 18 years old and/or still in high school. It is okay to race cyclocross on a mountain bike. You DO NOT need to buy a cyclocross bike to race in any of the local series. Points will be biased towards participation (or at least starting the race - we know mechanicals are a regular part of cross).
